Hi, I'm Leslie Timbers, the Computer Specialist at Round Meadow. Our computer goals for your children are below but, more importantly, I hope your children come away from the lab with the feeling that computers are great fun to learn on and about. I know that I have great fun teaching and learning, from them.

Reading Academy
Reading Academy is a powerful intervention software solution that helps at-risk students achieve rapid, permanent gains in reading. Our readers include 3rd, 4th and 5th graders. I am very excited to share that 93% of the students that participated in the Reading Academy last year increased their STAR reading scores, many significantly! Plans are underway to start the next groups of Reading Academy students in mid-October or early November. We hope to also offer after-school groups so that more students can participate. We’re thrilled with the results so far and look forward to offering this computer-based instruction opportunity to more students in order to reach our goal of bringing all kids to a proficient (or beyond!) reading level. See you in the lab!
